Meet The Doctor
Ronald Sachs M.D. founded Retina Associates of North West New Jersey in 1993 to provide state-of-the-art medical and surgical treatment of diseases affecting the retina, vitreous, and macula. He opened his first office in Morristown and the practice has since flourished with three additional offices opening in Sparta, Hackettstown, and Dover.
Ronald Sachs, MD was born and raised in northern New Jersey. He attended Tulane University in New Orleans as an undegraduate. Dr. Sachs graduated summa cum laude with highest honors and Phi Beta Kappa. He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in Manhattan. He completed his internship at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT.
Dr. Sachs received training in eye surgery and performed his residency program in Ophthalmology at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Sachs received advanced training in retinal surgery and preformed clinical research during his fellowship in Retina Vitreous Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Ronald Sachs, MD, is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists and the New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the New Jersey State Medical Society and the Morris County Medical Society.
Dr. Sachs had been honored as one of America’s top Ophthalmologists. He has been recognized by his peers for 13 consecutive years as a “Top Doctor” in New York/New Jersey. Dr. Sachs is currently serving as chairman of Ophthalmology at Morristown Medical Center (Atlantic Health System) in Morristown New Jersey.
